Romantic Lavender & White Wedding at Salish Lodge

Mariko and Ken came to me through their wedding planner just two months before their wedding at Salish Lodge by Snoqualamie Falls. They wanted a romantic color palette of lavender and white, with both full, fluffy blooms as well as smaller textures. For flowers, we brought the lavender color in by using a variety of different lavender roses: ocean song, eloquence, silver charm. To that we added avalanche roses and Wendy spray roses, as well as wax flower, chocolate lace, gomphrena, and babies breath. For foliage, we used plants that grow in the Pacific Northwest: raspberry, ferns, huckleberry, and mint to make it smell fresh and help Mariko relax!

Instead of traditional bridesmaid bouquets, they had flower crowns for their bridesmaids, and boutonnieres for their groomsmen and bridesman. The ceremony was set up on the lawn, where we built a birch arch adorned with foliage and flowers. The reception featured long tables with white and lavender compote centerpieces.

I still can’t get over how happy Ken looked all day! His smile just beams love!

And I love that their bridal party was fun and not super traditional! Having “bridesmen” or “groomsmaids” is a great way to honor the friends of the bride and groom, and there really aren’t any rules that require the bride’s side to have all women and the groom’s side to have all men!
