A Springtime Wedding at Home with Lush Pastel Florals

Anna and Marcus’ sweet, intimate wedding at their home in Seattle was really the wedding of my dreams in so many ways. They invited only close family, totaling eighteen guests. They embraced a colorful spring palette ranging from blush and mauve, to peach and apricot, to pale yellow and warm yellow, with whites and creams woven in as well. Basically all the beautiful pastel spring flowers that I dream about designing with all year long: ranunculus, butterfly ranunculus, hyacinth, tulips, garden roses, blooming cherry branches, dogwood, jasmine, crabapple, poppies, daffodil, and narcissus.

Their morning ceremony was at Parsons Garden, a cute corner park in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood. The sun was shining after a rainy night and the whole garden seemed to be coming alive. To complement the natural beauty of the garden, the ceremony setup was designed to look like it was growing up from the ground behind Anna and Marcus. They held their reception in their home, where we installed a nine foot floral fireplace installation on their mantle, as well as flowers above the built in bookshelves. We sprinkled arrangements throughout the house, and also did an asymmetric, climbing installation up the staircase.

My favorite design element was a massive, foam free floral installation on the porch that guests walked through as they entered. We used blooming cherry and crabapple branches with tiny coral dogwood to create a statement installation, arching over the stairs and behind the swinging bench.

Anna and Marcus just celebrated their first anniversary!

Thank you to the talented vendors that contributed to this beautiful intimate wedding!
