Coastal Inspired Rehearsal Dinner at Pleasant Beach Village on Bainbridge Island

This rehearsal dinner was featured on Style Me Pretty as “a rehearsal dinner so good you’d never believe it wasn’t their wedding” and we agree! We’d happily sit at these tables for any occasion!

There’s something really nice about doing rehearsal dinner flowers for a couple, in addition to their wedding flowers. It allows us to create another look, another mood, another setting for family and honored guests to gather and celebrate the couple getting married, without all the hustle and pressure of a wedding day. And it allows us to work at a different venue, which usually means drawing upon different inspiration for flowers and design!

Kyle and Teale’s Pleasant Beach Manor House rehearsal dinner on Bainbridge Island was no exception. With Callista & Co. leading the design, we drew on the colors of the venue and the coastal location to create a simple but elegant tablescape on long wooden tables with crisp linen runners. Onto those, we layered in a couple hundred modern glass bud vases and pin frog arrangements in an all white color palette. To reflect the bride’s island upbringing, we interspersed driftwood between the vases, we placed lots of clear glass votives on the tables, creating a warm glow as the sun set and the air cooled. This design allowed for family style dinner service without crowding the guests at their seats. The tables were finished with clean, modern plates and delicate flatware, and each guest was directed to their seat with a custom made flag in their drink glass, done by Libby Tipton. Another Libby creation was one of our favorites - a giant acrylic sign detailing the menu for the evening!

This design complemented the couple’s wedding day design, but still felt distinct and fresh. Both designs were organic and natural, drawing on the Pacific Northwest for design inspiration. The rehearsal dinner, in the subdued color palette of white and green, took a backseat to the wedding design, which also featured white flowers but brought in fresh pinks and blues, but many of the flowers used were the same.

A huge thank you to the incredible team that came together for this wedding weekend:
